Skeletal Abnormalities are one of the problems found in some individuals diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 and may develop into complications such as Scoliosis, Osteoporosis and Tibial Dysplasia.
Tibial Dysplasia usually starts with tibial bowing and can progress to a fracture that will not heal (pseudoarthrosis).
Dr Saber Ghadakzadeh’s research and subsequent publication in the FASEB Journal involved treatment for pseudoarthrosis. We congratulate Dr Ghadakzadeh on the publication of his research article and thank him for his efforts to improve the quality of life for Neurofibromatosis families and individuals
